How to Perform Hajj and Umrah – A Simple Hajj Guide
Hajj and Umrah are two of the most significant Islamic pilgrimages. Every year, millions of Muslims travel to Makkah to fulfill these sacred duties. While Hajj is an obligatory act for those who can afford it, Umrah is a voluntary yet highly recommended spiritual journey. This guide will help you understand the steps of both Hajj and Umrah in a simple and easy-to-follow manner.
What is Hajj?
Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, performed annually in the Islamic month of Dhul-Hijjah. It is obligatory for every financially and physically capable Muslim at least once in their lifetime. Hajj includes several rituals that commemorate the trials of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his family.
What is Umrah?
Umrah is a voluntary pilgrimage to Makkah that can be performed at any time of the year. Unlike Hajj, it does not have specific dates and is less complex in terms of rituals.
